Kingston Film Foundation

At Kingston Film Foundation, we are dedicated to highlighting historically and culturally significant second-run films across the Mid-Hudson Valley. Join us in celebrating the art of storytelling and the power of film.

Our Mission

The Kingston Film Foundation is a nonprofit organization that brings historically and culturally significant second-run films to screens around the Mid-Hudson Valley. Through pop-up events that combine cinema with live scores, performance art, and educational programming, we foster community in Kingston and beyond.

Our focus on second-run cinema reflects a commitment to highlighting work from historically underrepresented communities and overlooked artists, revitalizing this work, and connecting it to the present moment. As a nomadic film series, we are uniquely positioned to bring diverse communities together in various venues and with varied programming.

Our long-term mission is to find a permanent home for fostering these connections: a movie theater and community space in the City of Kingston. We envision KFF’s future permanent home as a space to nurture Kingston’s arts community and drive economic activity through a lively calendar of events aimed at cinephiles of all ages.
